Night of Ideas, Villa Albertine’s flagship nocturnal marathon of philosophical debates, performances, readings, and more is returning to more than 20 cities in the US, from February 25 through March 3, 2024.

This multidisciplinary event was introduced in the United States in 2015 by the French Embassy. Today, Night of Ideas is a nationwide phenomenon, drawing tens of thousands of people to events across the country. It has been presented in over 100 countries worldwide and coordinated by the Institut Français. The event invites thought leaders, activists, performers, authors, and academics to engage the public in discussions around a central question that addresses major, contemporary global issues.

On March 2, 2024, Night of Ideas will take place in Seattle for its second edition, organized by the Alliance Française de Seattle in partnership with Villa Albertine, the University of Washington’s Simpson Center, the University of Washington’s French & Italian Studies, and Town Hall Seattle.

“Disruptive Innovation: A.I., Language, Arts, and Education” celebrates art, storytelling, and language inclusivity, as well as the new possibilities and challenges arising from the integration of artificial intelligence in these domains.

With a constructive focus, this event serves as a catalyst for fostering collaboration, inspiring new ideas, and envisioning a future where A.I. seamlessly integrates with language, arts, and education, unlocking unprecedented possibilities, while at the same time reinforcing the crucial role of human agency in articulating clear principles for ethical user conduct and inclusivity at the global level.

Join the Alliance Francaise de Seattle and its partners on this transformative journey where disruptive innovation converges with human creativity!

This event will be held in English.
