Town Hall volunteers are on the front lines of creating an amazing experience at our events. You will be working with our box office team to work will-call, scan tickets, monitor seating, usher, and other tasks as needed. There are also opportunities for volunteering with our admin staff for inter-office work.
And best of all, when you volunteer at Town Hall, we track your hours and award you a complimentary membership once you complete twenty hours worth of shifts!

What do Town Hall volunteers do?
Volunteers mainly help us with front-of-house tasks like working box office for events or helping usher patrons to their seats. Occasionally, we may need help in our admin office to do things like bulk membership fulfillment, mailings, etc.
What happens after I sign up?
Depending on how many pending volunteers have recently signed up, we may ask you to participate in a group orientation. Alternatively, we may orient you to the space when you arrive for your shift. We will be in touch either way.
Are there benefits to being a volunteer?
Yes! As a volunteer you get access to comp tickets for most Town Hall events. You also accrue hours toward earning a membership as you work shifts.
Where would I be volunteering?
During our 2017/2018 season Town Hall’s historic building is undergoing a renovation. During this time we are producing events around the city in various venues. As a volunteer, you will be able to choose which events you volunteer at based on locations that are convenient to you.
Do you offer parking or travel subsidies or reimbursements?
Unfortunately not. Parking and travel are at your own discretion and expense.
