Get ready to explore the rich sounds and stories of North India with Srivani Jade at this Saturday Family Concert!

Srivani is a talented singer, composer, and storyteller who brings to life the beauty of Indian music. Accompanied by traditional instruments like the tabla (drums), harmonium, and tanpura (a 4-stringed drone), her performance is a vibrant mix of folk and classical melodies that will captivate kids and parents alike.

Through songs and stories, Srivani will introduce young audiences to the magic of Indian music and culture. Her fun and interactive style makes it easy to follow along, whether she’s sharing an upbeat tune or a fascinating tale. Don’t miss this opportunity to sing, clap, and journey to India through music.

As with all of our Saturday Family Concerts, this event is free for ages 22 and under.

Indian Classical Vocalist, composer and educator, Srivani Jade is a captivating performer, and story-teller of the tradition she represents. Her singing is a celebration of her life and journey. Her spirited performances are intelligent, uplifting, and transport you to a place of joy and peace. Srivani Jade was introduced to music at the age of four by her father Bhavani Prasad Jade and uncle Raghavendra Tilwalli. She has studied Khayal with Dr. Sharad Gadre in the Gwalior style and with Pandit Parameshwar Hegde in the Kirana style. She identifies deeply with the Bhakti tradition, and enjoys singing light classical music (Thumri-Dadra) and Devotional repertoire (Bhajans, Abhangs, Devaranama).
