Join Lili Weigert, author of Making Space: ADUs for Modern Living, in conversation with local ADU designers Joe Schneider and Mike Freeman of JAS Design Build. They will explore how thoughtful ADU design can support aging in place, foster intergenerational living, and provide resilient housing options for the future. Rebecca Crichton, Executive Director of Northwest Center for Creative Aging, will moderate the discussion.

Lili Weigert traveled the world before launching her editorial career at National Geographic magazine. She writes about innovative and unexpected approaches to architecture and design, and her work has appeared in Cottage Living, Preservation Magazine, ReadyMade, Marin Magazine, Marin Living, the San Francisco Chronicle, and U.S. News & World Report. Originally from Philadelphia, Weigert lives in Marin County, California. Making Space is her first book.

Rebecca Crichton, Executive Director of Northwest Center for Creative Aging (NWCCA), brings wisdom and purpose to her work with the aging community. She retired from a 21-year career at Boeing as a writer, curriculum designer, and leadership development coach. Her Encore Career uses her knowledge and experience to offer programs and resources related to Creative Aging in the Seattle area. NWCCA collaborates monthly with Town Hall Seattle. She facilitates Wisdom Cafes for the King County Library System and writes a regular column for 3rd Act Magazine.

Trained as a Hospice Volunteer, Rebecca continues to teach and facilitate Grief and Resilience support groups for several organizations. Rebecca has master’s degrees in child development and organizational development and is a Certified Coach.
