Twenty years on, Short Stories Live: A Rogue’s Christmas returns with an afternoon of holiday tales, poetry and song, served with a generous twist of mischief. Seattle Now & Then’s Jean Sherrard hosts a cast of stage favorites (Kurt Beattie, Julie Briskman, and Marianne Owen) alongside the Go Janes, who perform their original music. Literary guest spirits include Terry Pratchett, Dylan Thomas, Jeanette Winterson, and an unexpected snowy saga from the late Paul Dorpat. Add the annual audience-assisted “Pathetic Birdies,” and you have a holiday that’s naughty, nice, and entirely unrepentant.
