Town Hall Seattle and Mayor Wilson’s Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy Transition host an open space for cultural workers, artists, and people who care deeply about the creative sector to come together and help shape what’s next. This gathering brings members of Mayor Katie Wilson’s Transition Team into conversation with leaders and practitioners from across Seattle’s arts, culture, and creative economy, for a shared look at the administration’s platform, priorities for the first 90 days, and opportunities to work together moving forward.
The evening will begin with a short presentation from the Transition Team, followed by facilitated conversations and time to connect with peers across disciplines. They’ll talk about affordability, cultural identity, and how to better connect efforts across the creative ecosystem, with room for whatever else is on your mind. Above all, this is a chance to be in community: to gather, exchange ideas, and reflect together on how the city can better support the people and practices that make its cultural life possible.
