Join Lady A’s musical magic: where a gumbo of grooves meets a symphony of smiles!
Lady A, a musical prodigy since the age of five, has blossomed into a dynamic force in the world of children’s concerts. With a keen ear for harmony and roots deeply embedded in the Greater Mt. Baker Missionary Baptist Church, Lady A infuses soul, gospel, and a sprinkle of funk into her performances. Her concerts are an inspiring blend of music and storytelling, creating an enchanting atmosphere for young audiences. Lady A believes that no audience member should leave the way they walked in, and she strives to share a positive message through her lyrics and foster a sense of community and connection among her young listeners.
Lady A, “The Hardest Workin’ Woman in Blues, Soul, Funk, and Gospel” began singing at age five in her Seattle church choir, evolving into a captivating vocalist and storyteller. She was honored as the 2020 and 2021 Best Performer of the Year and 2021 Best Female Vocalist by the Washington Blues Society. With a rich radio history and upcoming shows on the True Grits Radio Network, Lady A is not only a musical powerhouse but also an active community contributor, serving as Chair on the Rhapsody Project board and mentoring Blues in the Schools students. Lady A’s release of her 2023 Album project Just Bein Me further stretches her musical taste and captures her Seattle upbringing through music. She is truly the “Hardest Workin’ Woman,” likened to a pot of Lou-sana Gumbo, always best served HOT!
