What better way to spend a Saturday with your kids than dancing along to a kindie-rock band or singing catchy folk tunes?

Saturday Family Concerts bring diverse musical styles to Town Hall’s stages with bands that gets kids (and their adults!) up and out of their seats. Kids 12 and under get in for FREE (and it’s just $5 for adults), so treat the whole family to afternoons of puppets, paper bag sing-alongs, crankies, recess dance parties, and more!

Whether you’re seeing a returning favorite (like Caspar Babypants) or discovering a brand new band that’s sure to end up on your kids’ playlists, Saturday Family Concerts are a great place to dance, make new friends, and build a lifelong love of music!

Birch Pereira and the Gin Joints

Born out of a love of the early years of swing, Americana, and rock ‘n ‘roll revival, Birch Pereira & the Gin Joints offers a fresh angle on beloved American song traditions. Transport your family to a time of honky-tonks and roadhouses, and dance along to tunes with a classic sound that Folk Radio UK calls “a heady blend of early jazz, jump blues, vintage soul, old school rock’n’roll and hillbilly boogie.”

Bushwick Book Club: After the Fall

Bushwick shows offer a special interaction between audiences and musicians by presenting their own original songs inspired by a featured book. For this lively and kid-friendly concert, they’ve chosen After the Fall by Dan Santat.

Clinton Fearon with Mark Oi

The Jamaican-born, Seattle-based reggae artist Clinton Fearon presents songs filled with messages from the heart. He steps onto Town Hall’s stage with Mark Oi, fellow member of Clinton’s project the Boogie Brown Band, for a lively Saturday Family Concert filled with songs that spread messages of love and community.

Caspar Babypants

Perennial favorite Caspar Babypants (AKA Chris Ballew of the Grammy-nominated band The Presidents of the United States of America) returns to Saturday Family Concerts! He delights us with simple acoustic instrumentals and catchy, lyrical tunes to engage parents and kids alike.

The songs of the Grammy-winning Okee Dokee Brothers encourage kids and families to get outside and get creative. They share songs from their brand new album Winterland, a tribute to the season of coziness, family time, and outdoor fun!

Often described as “contagiously fun world music,” Eli Rosenblatt’s songs feature a signature mix of salsa, reggae, hip-hop, funk, and American folk music. He makes his way to Town Hall’s stage to delight us with folksy fox songs, bouncy kangaroo sambas, and hip-hop tunes with a conservationist theme.

Recess Monkey

Seattle’s own kindie-rock trio Recess Monkey is known for good vibes, high-energy shows, and laugh-out-loud funny lyrics that capture the essence of being young. They drink a lot of coffee. Seamlessly meshing indie-rock roots with keen awareness of childhood themes, this trio of teachers will have the whole family up and dancing!

Henry and Sandy

Sandy Buchner, local children’s musician and co-founder of Happy Squirrel Arts joins Seattle’s prolific muralist Henry for a unique concert experience. Together they bring us an afternoon of folk songs for kids, lively storytelling, and crankies, plus sing-alongs and an art session to show children how to build their very own paper bag puppet!
