The Seattle Catrinas Festival 2024 marks its third anniversary as a prominent celebration of The Day of the Dead in the USA.

The Day of the Dead is not a time for mourning but a celebration of life and a way to honor the legacy of those who have passed.

During the multi-day Seattle Catrinas Festival, which will take place at Town Hall Seattle from October 31 to November 3, attendees are encouraged to dress as Catrinas and Catrines and take photos with the living representations of these colorful figures, adorned with skull makeup and elegant attire that symbolizes the cycle of life.

Visitors are welcome to bring photographs and offerings such as flowers, artificial candles, and other mementos to place on the altar in memory of their deceased loved ones.

The procession of living Catrinas and Catrines is a solemn yet vibrant spectacle, offering a unique and emotional connection to ancestors. Full program details and tickets are available on the festival website.

Families are invited to take time to visit the festival, honor ancestors, and help keep their memories and legacies alive.

Seattle Catrinas Festival 2024 promises to be a memorable celebration of The Day of the Dead.
