Outspoken former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara joins us for a timely conversation on crime, punishment, and the rule of law in America.

Preet Bharara served as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 2009 to 2017. The New York Times has called him one of “the nation’s most aggressive and outspoken prosecutors of public corruption and Wall Street crime.” During his tenure, the office prosecuted nearly 100 Wall Street executives, even as it conducted terrorism prosecutions, civil rights cases, and public corruption investigations against Democratic and Republican officials.

Since 2017 Bharara has been a Distinguished Scholar in Residence at NYU School of Law; served as a Senior Legal Analyst on CNN; and hosted a popular podcast about criminal justice called Stay Tuned with Preet.

Presented by Town Hall Seattle.
