At the heart of the African American experience in the Northwest is the story of our journey to this region, the establishment of our vibrant community and the ways in which we have survived. To tell this ever-unfolding story, the Museum’s exhibits and programs feature the visual arts, music, crafts, literature and history of African Americans in the Northwest.

NAAM is located on the corner of 23rd Avenue and S. Massachusetts Street, just ten minutes south of downtown Seattle. Town Hall primarily uses The Legacy Room on the southeast corner of the building. Enter The Legacy Room just south of the main entrance.

The area is served by many Metro routes, including the 7, 48, 106, 4, and 9x. Click here to plan your trip.

Free parking is available in the designated lot, adjacent to the venue. Please do not park in spots reserved for residents.
