These panelists–each of whom participated in the Puget Sound’s recent sHell No! efforts–will discuss the importance of being a woman of color in the environmental rights movement and why it’s critical that the movement be led by this particular demographic. Indian refreshments will be served.

With the recent sHell No! protests and climate-related activism in the Puget Sound, Seattle and the rest of the region was once again thrust into the center of the environmental debate. These panelists–each of whom participated in the sHell No! efforts–will discuss the importance of being a woman of color in the environmental rights movement and why it’s critical that the movement be led by this particular demographic. PAnelists include Sarra Tekola, Zarna Joshi, Afrin Sopariwala, and Yin Yu. Indian refreshments will be served.
