The revolutions sweeping the Middle East in 2011 were unlike any the world had ever seen—and Wael Ghonim would at first seem an unlikely instigator. In the fall of 2010, the 30-year-old Google executive launched a Facebook page to protest the death of an Egyptian man at the hands of security forces; the result was online protests, nonconfrontational public gatherings, and, eventually, a revolution. Ghonim, author of Revolution 2.0, will tell the inside story of social media, social change, and his own arrest, in an onstage interview by D.
