Town Music: Roomful of Teeth

Combine yodeling, Broadway belting, Inuit throat singing, Georgian, Persian, Hindustani music, Korean P’ansori and Death Metal, and you’ve approached describing the human vocal project known as Roomful of Teeth. Ever since their first album earned accolades from NPR, Pitchfork and others—not to mention a Grammy—this charming, idiosyncratic ensemble has been challenging our conventionally held ideas about chamber music.

In a Town Music season filled with some of our favorites, we’re thrilled to welcome Roomful of Teeth back for another fresh re-imagining of classical voice performance. Their influences are as diverse as their results are unforgettable—join us live to experience the limits of the human voice.

Presented by Town Hall Seattle as part of the Arts & Culture and Town Music series.
