Town Hall’s 2nd Annual Day of Service gives you the opportunity work with Lettuce Link to help maintain the community garden located at Marra Farm in the South Park neighborhood of Seattle. Volunteers will gather at Marra Farm at 10am to receive orientation instructions and a brief farm talk with the Lettuce Link team. Bring a sack lunch to enjoy during the midday project break! A limited number of tools, gloves, and kneepads will be provided, but please bring some from home if you have them; be sure to wear sturdy shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Anyone present at last year’s service project can attest to the sense of community and new friends to be made. Lettuce Link, a program of Solid Ground, provides access to fresh produce, sustainable food education, and basic gardening knowledge for Seattle families.
