Microsoft vs. Apple? Blue vs. red? Would you like a cider or a beer? Why do people like certain songs, food, or books? According to journalist Tom Vanderbilt (Traffic), there are a number of unseen forces at work which guide us to choose one thing over another. This discussion of his latest book You May Also Like will analyze these factors and present them in an accessible, engaging way. He’ll explain the way we perceive things, from other people to a morning cup of coffee, why different folks make different choices, and why we sometimes flip-flop in our own tastes. You may never look at your Netflix queue the same way again.
