The Seattle Festival Orchestra is an all-volunteer community orchestra presenting classical concerts to delight and engage a 21st century audience. They take the stage to bring us The Fruits of Summer, featuring pieces by Brahms, Mozart, and Dvorak. The show opens with Brahms’ Tragic Overture, named by the composer for its turbulent and tormented character. Then they perform the Mozart’s Oboe Concerto in C Major, one of the most important concertos in the oboe repertoire. Finally, they perform Dvorak’s Eighth Symphony, an exciting and lyrical piece inspired by his love of Bohemian folk music. Celebrate these esteemed works of musical canon with Seattle Festival Orchestra.
