Representation matters in children’s literature, and in partnership with Seattle Urban Book Expo (SUBE), Town Hall Seattle is pleased to host the Spring Children’s Book Day just in time for the end of the school year.

With over a dozen authors and local educational organizations joining us, it will be a day of positivity, uplifting stories, family-friendly activities, and the opportunity to meet — and purchase books from — some favorite BIPOC writers!

Special activities include:

• 18 author tables
• The Double Dutch Divas with be jumping in the plaza from 2-3:30
• Face painter
• Local organization, Reading Partners, will host a bookmark making activity and giveaways of books and school supplies

Seattle Urban Book Expo is a writing services and promotions organization for self-published authors of color. They aim to build community by building opportunities through book fairs, writing events, and promotions.
