Early Music Guild presents
Northwest Baroque Masterworks
Handel’s ‘Theodora’

Alexander-Weimann-press-21

Alexander Weimann (of the ensemble Tragicomedia) returns to Seattle to direct a performance of Handel’s famous oratorio “Theodora.” Dramatic love story meets Christian martyrdom in one of Handel’s last — and most beloved — works. The evening features soprano Nathalie Paulin, mezzo-soprano Krisztina Szabo, countertenor Lawrence Zazzo, tenor Zachary Wilder, and bass Matthew Brook. Consisting of an orchestra and chorus of 40, this performance is the first project of the newly-formed Northwest Baroque Masterworks, a collaboration of the Early Music Guild, Early Music Vancouver, and Early Music Society of the Islands (Victoria). A preconcert lecture begins at 7:00 p.m.

Presented by: Early Music Guild, as part of the Early Music Guild International Series.
