Reclaiming prosperitySeattle’s $15 minimum wage legislation, in part brought about to combat race and gender income inequalities, has sparked not only a local, but national discussion of income equity. This discussion will focus on local and national income inequality trends. Harold Meyerson, opinion writer at The Washington Post and Editor-at Large of The American Prospect, will appear in conversation with local reporter David “Goldy” Goldstein, in a discussion of this pressing issue. Jerry Large, columnist at The Seattle Times, will moderate. Meyerson will also serve as a keynote speaker for the Budget Matters 2014 conference on December 12.
