In recent decades, a corrupt faction of corporate capitalism seems to be smothering America’s innovative spirit. The result is that most Americans have seen their incomes flat-lining and their American dreams slipping away. With his new book, The Great Equalizer, hedge fund strategist and author David Smick (The World is Curved) outlines a fourteen-point plan for bipartisan reform designed to empower average American people to reimagine and reboot the economy. Smick argues against the view of economies simply as statistical measurements and instead, focuses on the people—their hopes, fears, dreams, and expectations. He asserts that, with a new kind of economic policy, America’s best days lie ahead.
