Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra presents
Dance Silhouettes
Music of Chávez, Chopin, Falla, and Kodály

Winner of the Platinum Prize at the 2022 Canadian International Music Competition and Gold Medalist at the 2020 Aloha International Piano Competition, young pianist Jason Nam showcases a prodigious talent beyond his years. He joins Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra for Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2, a virtuosic work that overflows with romanticism. SMCO also performs Carlos Chávez’s fiery “Sinfonía India,” inspired by the traditional music of the Indigenous tribes of northern Mexico, and dance traditions of Spain and Hungary take the stage in Manuel de Falla’s “The Three-Cornered Hat” and Zoltan Kodály’s “Dances of Galanta.”
