7:30-9PM: Merrill Ward: Cognitive Liberty—A Call to Action

Liberty is one of the most essential principles and ideals that our country is founded upon. Yet according to Merrill Ward, our freedom to safely altar and influence our consciousness is not currently recognized as a protected right within the United States—and most of the world. Ward takes the stage with a discussion of freedom in the context of altered minds, and delves into the regulations and research currently defining psychedelic legality. He highlights new emerging technologies and psychedelic medicines that are expanding the frontier of safe psychedelic use, and decries our nation’s 40+ year War On Drugs for the harmful practice of imprisoning millions for minor drug related offenses. Join Merrill Ward for a deep discussion of the decriminalization of altered states, and the freedom of an individual to control their own mental processes.

Presented by Town Hall Seattle and Cascadia Psychedelic Community as part of the 2020 CPC Conference.
