Each musician reads the show’s featured book and writes an original song inspired by it, unveiling the new work at the event. Performers include Kristin Chambers, Olivia Claire, Annie Ford, Jaspar Lepak, Debbie Miller, Nottingham/Wicks, Moe Provencher, and Tom Rorem.
The Handmaid’s Tale is an award-winning 1985 novel by Canadian author Margaret Atwood exploring themes of misogyny, patriarchy, and individual expression in a near-future society.
This event is all-ages, bar with ID.
Presented by Town Hall Seattle and Bushwick Book Club Seattle as part of the Arts & Culture series.
