Inspired by the 18th century coffee house tradition of “Penny Universities” where a penny bought you an evening of coffee and conversation, we invite our audiences to join us for structured discussions on the pressing issues of our day. At Penny University we don’t come with answers but lead with questions. The focus of this Penny University is finding practical steps that our community can take to organize around human rights, social and economic justice, and the political process after this shocking election.

Penny University is organized by Seattle cultural icon Anne Focke and Town Hall Community Programs Curator Edward Wolcher.
