KCTS Cancer

Cancer is one of the world’s leading killers, with millions of new cases diagnosed annually. “Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies,” based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book by Siddhartha Mukherjee, is a biographical look at the ins and outs of this elusive disease. This special preview screening of the film (in advance of its full-length, three-part premiere on KTCS from March 30 to April 1, 205) will be followed by a discussion with filmmaker Barak Goodman, and local cancer specialists on the impact of the film, cancer in the Puget Sound, and what people can do about it.

Prior to the film (at 6:00 pm), a resource fair will offer attendees the opportunity to speak with representatives of Seattle-area cancer organizations, and receive information on local cancer treatment, recovery, and support.
