Earshot Jazz presents
Anton Schwartz Sextet

For prize-winning Seattle and Bay Area tenor saxophonist Anton Schwartz, truly captivating music needs groove and intellect working in tandem. Earshot Jazz presents Schwartz in a concert all about music that packs an emotional punch—music that gets into your bones, your head, and your heart. Schwartz leads a sextet on Town Hall’s stage for a performance that melds irresistible rhythmic momentum with emotionally charged lyricism—featuring Jared Hall on trumpet, David Marriott on trombone, Josh Nelson on piano, Michael Glynn on bass, and Julian McDonough on drums. Jazz at Lincoln Center calls Schwartz’s playing, “accessible and groovy, yet deep and consistently surprising.”

The 31st Annual Earshot Jazz Festival celebrates the art form’s leading edges and cultural heritage. For 33 days, jazz greats from around the world and renowned resident artists come together to create, share, improvise, explore, collaborate, and swing.
