Jinkx MonsoonSpoken word genius Andrea Gibson has been called “deeply haunting and profoundly inspiring.” Her body of work supports this claim by touching on a diverse range of topics : war, class, gender, bullying, white privilege, sexuality, and love. Known for pieces like “The Jewelry Store,” “Yellowbird,” and “When the Bough Breaks,” Gibson will appear in what’s sure to be a powerful, enlightening evening of poetry and music. Gibson, who was the first winner of the Women’s World Poetry Slam, is touring for her fifth album “Flower Boy.” Prior to Gibson’s performance, Seattleite Jinkx Monsoon (of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” fame) will appear with fully-costumed flair.
