An Evening with Joshua Roman
Town Music’s Artistic Director takes the stage for a recital celebrating the opening of the Great Hall.

In March 2006, Joshua Roman stepped out of his chair as the youngest principal cellist in the history of Seattle Symphony with a solo recital at Town Hall that introduced him as a powerful new creative force in our city, and set boundary stakes for his career as a featured soloist and curator. Thirteen years later, Joshua has gone on to perform with JACK Quartet, Biava Quartet, Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra and more—as well as serving as Town Music’s Artistic Director.

Now he returns to Town Hall for a solo cello concert to bring Town Music back our newly renovated building. Joshua’s performance inaugurates the Great Hall stage, testing the range of its new acoustic optimization and helping us to realize Town Music’s goal of connecting virtuosic performers in close conversation with their audience. Sit in for a signature cello performance that explores the new Great Hall, and how far we’ve come to bring Town Hall’s musical legacy full circle.
