Alex Honnold with Doug Walker
Inside the Mind of a Free Solo Climber

Bugaboos, British Columbia, Canada

Free solo climber Alex Honnold has made waves in the climbing community for his daring ascents (including Mexico’s famed 2,500-foot El Sendero Luminoso)–all of which he achieves without the assistance of ropes or any gear. Alone on the Wall chronicles his seven biggest climbs and gives insight into what drives him to such adventurous heights. In conversation with Doug Walker (PNW climber and current board president of the American Alpine Club), Honnold will share anecdotes from these climbs, discuss what it’s like to, at age 30, be an internationally-renowned climbing phenomenon, and share the characteristics everyone should have in order to take great risks in their own lives.
