This cheerful holiday favorite brings together non-traditional holiday tales, poems, and musical fanfare for a delightful (if not somewhat unusual) seasonal afternoon at Town Hall. Historian Paul Dorpat, Jean Sherrard (program curator), Randy Hoffmeyer, and Marianne Owen will bring these tales to life. Stories include Alan Gurganus’ “It Had Wings;” Nabokov’s uplifting, yet tragic tale “Christmas;” Ken Kesey’s laugh-ridden “Skid Row Santa;” Michael Tournier’s “Mother Christmas;” and E.B. White’s “The Passing of Alpheus W. Halliday.” Rounding out this year’s “Rogue’s Christmas” is the return of Pineola (Dirk Lebsack, Leslie Braly, John Owen, and Josh Woods) and a surprise guest, reading a legalese, law-inspired spoof of “The Night Before Christmas.”
