This December, the Northwest Boychoir celebrates its 43rd annual presentation of “A Festival of Lessons & Carols.” The holiday concert showcases the 65-member combined chorus of the Northwest Boychoir and Vocalpoint! Seattle.
Patterned after the Christmas Eve observance at King’s College in Cambridge, England, “A Festival of Lessons & Carols” is a holiday tradition for thousands of families in the Puget Sound region. This classical choral performance consists of nine holiday readings, each followed by traditional carols performed by the choir.
Northwest Choirs is home to the Northwest Boychoir and Vocalpoint! Seattle. Annually, 200 young singers enroll in our premier music education programs. These students — boys ages 6 to 18, and girls 12 to 18 — come from all corners of the Puget Sound region representing 115 diverse public and private elementary, middle and high schools. Considered one of the premier children’s choirs in the nation, the Northwest Choirs is an integral part of the region’s cultural life. Northwest Choirs members perform regularly with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, as well as other high-profile performing arts groups in the area.
Presented by Northwest Boychoir and Vocalpoint! Seattle.
