Arts & Culture

Get ready to explore the uncomfortable conversations you’ve been eager for in a space that encourages open and safe expression. Weaving together storytelling, poetry, music, and panel interviews with powerful voices, Unlearning offers the opportunity to address issues like discrimination, social justice, violence, and many other pressing (and often taboo) topics while healing and learning together.

Capitalism in healthcare raises critical concerns about equity, access, and the prioritization of profit over patient care. In a capitalist system, healthcare becomes a commodity, and functions as a privilege tied to financial resources, creating significant barriers and outcome disparities for marginalized communities. The fundamental question is whether a system driven by profit can truly prioritize the health and well-being of individuals and communities over financial gain. Join host Lindsey T. H. Jackson and expert panelists for this timely conversation.

She is a caste privileged, neurodivergent Indian immigrant working to disinvest from the grips of colonialism, supremacy and capitalism. In her private practice she supports people in having more generous and generative relationships. As a seasoned facilitator Jaya supports organizations in building anti racist culture. She co-authored the book Parenting at the Intersections: Raising Neurodivergent Children of Color.
