Saturday Family Concerts:
The Harmonica Pocket

Saturday, November 19, 2011, 11:00am – 12:00pm

Downstairs at Town Hall; enter on Seneca Street. Free-$25.

“Your ears will smile,” says The Harmonica Pocket’s website—and we bet the rest of you will, too. With swinging story-songs, hula hoops, and a suitcase of props, The Harmonica Pocket mixes music, dance, and imagination games into a gigglish jambalaya of highly interactive experiences that get children (and their grown-ups) singing and moving together. Led by composer Keeth Monta Apgar, the band performs acoustic shows sprinkled with wah-wah guitar, ukulele, jaw harp, washboard percussion, harmonicas, an invented instrument called a “Hinklehorn” (part kazoo, part plumbing fixtures) —and a whole lot of fun. Presented by Town Hall. Series media sponsorship provided by ParentMap and KEXP.

Tickets are free for kids 12 and under/$5 for adults with children/$25 unaccompanied adults. Tickets are required for children and adults and are available at www.brownpapertickets.com or 800/838-3006.
