The innovative collaborative project Poetry+Motion presents local African-American poets and writers joined by jazz/blues vocalist Elnah Jordan in a celebration of the work life of African-American women. Jordan was named Vocalist of the Year for her performance as the legendary Bessie Smith in The Evolution of the Blues and later starred in the Off-Broadway musical drama Street of Dreams, earning the prestigious Cabaret Gold Award for her performance. Presented by Poetry+Motion.
