DESCRIPTION:In the final installment of this fall’s special Ancient Egypt Distinguished Speakers Lecture Series\, in association with the exhibit “Tutankhamun&#058 The Golden King and The Great Pharaohsis” at Pacific Science Center\, Kent Weeks\, Professor of Egyptian Archaeology at The American University in Cairo and director of the Theban Mapping Project\, explains how cutting-edge technology and old-fashioned archaeological excavation have led to exciting discoveries in the Valley of the Kings\, where ancient Egypt’s most powerful rulers were buried.
