Early Music Discovery: Dmitri Carter & Friends: French Baroque Tales in Music & Puppetry

Sunday, February 10, 2013, 1:00 – 2:00pm

Downstairs at Town Hall; enter on Seneca Street. $10/$5.

Early Music Discovery presents catchy tunes; fascinating instruments; and a colorful culture of dance, costume, and manners from times past in all-ages performances that are about an hour long. In this program, Dmitri Carter of the Northwest Puppet Center animates old stories in the medium of shadow puppetry with his inimitably deft humor. Instrumentalists on viola da gamba, harpsichord, and more add the magic aura of French Baroque music while young apprentice musicians and puppeteers round out the crew for a unique blend of stage, sound, and story. Presented by Early Music Guild.

Advance tickets are $10/$5 children and seniors, at earlymusicguild.org
